The project: A self-emplyed Campaign Manager is required to take on the fixed-term project of the May 2022 HSPCA Local Elections Campaign. It is expected that the time required to complete this project would not rule out other projects being undertaken by the campaign manager outside of our Association. However, the election period will require increased focus and effort.
The successful applicant will report to the Association Chair, will receive guidance and instruction from the DCP and will have the support of the whole Officers' group.
The priority tasks will be to
• Grow and motivate our network of committed activists while organising and resourcing their campaign activity, e.g. canvassing, survey distribution and collection, leafletting, and street stalls.
• Focus our on-line campaign to maximise the impact of highly targeted messaging, which she or he will be able to help create, on all social media platforms.
• Organise and run a major ‘Get Out the Vote’ day-long campaigning effort ahead of and on election day.
In parallel it will be expected that the CM will be able to
• Identify and exploit new campaigning opportunities
• Developing campaigning opportunities and assist with writing campaign materials (online and printed).
• Create wide campaign participation through motivational speaker events and voter-relevant policy discussions
• upload Marked Register Data from May 21 elections.

The successful candidate must have
• Experience in leading political campaigning
• Knowledge of and demonstrable support for the Conservative Party's aims and achievements
• Proven ability to work well with a team, as well as the capacity to work independently to reach agreed objectives
• Excellent interpersonal and motivational skills
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Proven organisational skills, and a keen grasp of the importance of detail
• Flexible approach to out-of-hours working patterns, as this will not be a normal 9-5 role
Fee of up to £6k for completed project, to be divided across the six month term and invoiced by the project manager each month..
